Photos of the Day: Old Stone Wall

Some walls are so unique they're like works of art.

If you're a lover of old stone walls, take a drive up Mockingbird Hill Road in Lower Saucon, where this remarkable structure is located (just south of Reilly Lane on the right as you're heading uphill).

Judging from its appearance, it was built by hand many moons ago. And thanks to the challenging topography of the hillside on which it's located, the wall has a sinewy, almost snakelike quality to its construction.

Each stone has weathered in place, and some parts of the wall sport green moss coverings. Surrounding the structure are dense foliage and tall trees which contribute to the "lost in time" atmosphere of the area.
