Patch Picks: Last Minute Gift Ideas for Dad

Don't forget Dear Old Dad tomorrow! If you haven't picked up something for him yet, today's your chance.

Tomorrow is Father's Day, and that means if you haven't yet picked out a gift for Dad, today's pretty much your last opportunity to do so. For all your procrastinators out there, Patch has assembled a list of five ideas for different types of Dads. Happy hunting!

  1. For the foodie Dad: A monogrammed, forged steak brand. That’s right. Now there will be no question as to who grilled that slab of meaty perfection. $39.95 at www.williams-sonoma.com. For other great gift ideas for the Dad who loves to cook, visit Williams-Sonoma's local retail store at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall.
  2. For the hop-head Dad: His own tap system. The Krups Beer Tender will keep his Heineken cool and fresh for 30 days. $99.99 at JC Penney at the Lehigh Valley Mall.
  3. For the adventurous Dad: Buy him a day of play at Lehigh Valley Paintball, 344 Main Street, Emmaus. Bonus points if you join him. Visit www.lehighvalleypaintball.com for more information.
  4. For the rocker Dad: A ticket to party at the new Sands Steel Stage. From Steely Dan to Stone Temple Pilots to The Steve Miller Band, there’s a group for every taste scheduled to perform at this rockin' venue. $25-$69 with tickets available at www.musikfest.org.
  5. For the sophisticated Dad: Treat him to lunch at Pacifico (or Melt or White Orchids, etc.) and a day of shopping at the penultimate men’s clothing store, Brooks Brothers. Where can you do all of this? At The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, of course.
