Leave Fawns Alone, Residents Told

Lower Saucon Township is advising residents to leave fawns alone, if and when they see them.

Cuteness aside, fawns, a.k.a. baby deer, should be left alone, Lower Saucon Township is advising residents.

In a township-issued community alert, authorities said "residents have reported fawns in or near their yard to police."

"White-tailed deer are typically born in May and June of each year," the alert said. "Under most circumstances, the best thing a person can do is to immediately leave the area to avoid creating any additional disturbance near the fawn."
