Holiday-Themed Events on Tap for Saturday

Are you ready to do some Christmas shopping, but would rather avoid the malls? Then you may want to check out these holiday-themed events taking place in our area this weekend.

On Saturday, Crafty Ladies will host their Annual Christmas Bazaar, which will feature crafts, a bake sale, tempting refreshments and light lunch offerings. The event will be held from 9:30am to 2:30pm at the church, which is located at 331 Constitution Avenue in Hellertown, near the .

Another event happening Saturday is the Durham Nockamixon Holiday Shoppe at Durham Nockamixon Elementary School, 41 Thomas Free Drive, Kintnersville.

To be held from 9am to 3pm, the Holiday Shoppe will feature more than 25 artisans, crafters and direct sale companies whose wares will be offered at a vendor fair. Children's activities will include a Kids Craft Station from 10am to 2pm, a Kids' Holiday Shop with free gift wrapping from 9am to 1pm, holiday movies at 11am and 1pm, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 9am to 2pm ($5 each).

The Holiday Shoppe will also feature raffles, a PTA bake sale, and hot lunch offerings such as homemade soup and chili from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Visitors who bring a canned good for donation to the Lord's Pantry will receive a free raffle ticket (there is a limit of one free ticket per family).

Proceeds from the Holiday Shoppe will benefit the school's PTA.
