Hellertown's Community Yard Sale: A Preview

Do you need to stock up on back-to-school clothes and gear but dread the idea of heading to the mall? Do you try to "keep it local" and recycle as much as possible when you buy? If you answered "yes!" to either of these questions, Hellertown's Community Yard Sale is happening this weekend, and you should probably check out.

Hosted by the Hellertown Borough Business Revitalization Program and sponsored by , the yard sale will be held this Sunday from 8am to 3pm, and more than two dozen families from throughout the borough are expected to participate.

Clothing, household items, decorative items, furniture, tools and many other things you might need will be available for purchase at bargain prices, without the need to leave town.

To help you pre-plan your route and save time, the HBBRP has made available a map featuring the locations of all the yard sales. The map features "North Hellertown" and "South Hellertown" subgroupings, with possible routes highlighted.

Hellertown is also a very walkable community, so if the weather's nice you might also consider walking to a few of the sales. But bring a caddy or folding shopping cart, in case you end up going on a shopping spree!
