Civil War Talk Planned

Experienced Civil War reenactor and Saucon Valley resident Rick Eisenhart will deliver a presentation on the Union Army's 153rd Regiment at Seidersville Hall, the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society recently announced.

The 153rd Regiment was an all-volunteer regiment comprised of men mustered from throughout Northampton County during the Civil War.

Eisenhart will show a 15-minute video filmed during a Civil War battle reenactment that is staged annually in Lehigh Township.

He will also discuss his knowledge of and passion for Civil War preservation in the Lehigh Valley.

Eisenhart is vice president of Lehigh Valley Civil War Days, Camp Geiger, and is currently involved with organizing a group of 153rd Regiment reenactors.

The presentation will be held Wednesday, March 9 at 7pm in Seidersville Hall, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike. Light refreshments will be served and members of the public are invited to attend.
