Afghan Hound Dog Spotted Around L. Saucon

According to a Lower Saucon Township Police alert, the dog has been spotted in the area of Mountain Drive South, Seidersville Road, Route 378 and Stonesthrow Road.

A tan, long-haired Afghan hound dog has been seen throughout eastern Lower Saucon Township, according to a Lower Saucon Township Police news alert.

Police said the dog was seen March 26 and 27 along Mountain Drive South, Seidersville Road, Route 378, Old Philadelphia Pike, Hickory Hill Road, Stonesthrow Road and Fieldstone Drive.

"The dog is very skittish and will not allow anyone to get near it," police said.

If your missing dog matches this description, or you know someone whose dog is missing, police are requesting that you call the Northampton County Non-Emergency number (610-759-2200) and ask that your name and dog be put into the "Lost/Found Dog Book."

This is "so that the next time the dog is spotted a phone call can be made to the owner and they can be reunited," police said.
