Are you planning on making the leap from vegetable gardening to production for profit?

Are you a new vegetable producer who is ready to refine your farm to optimize production and profit?

The objective of this course is to introduce aspiring and new vegetable producers to diverse production strategies and provide a framework for effective farm production planning. Appropriate for farmers and market gardeners at ½ acre to 20 acre scales. Participants can expect: farm visits, presentations by Penn State Extension Educators and experienced farmers, hands-on experience trying new tools/equipment for small and medium scale farms, and more.

Twelve sessions will cover: Greenhouse Management, Direct Seeding and Transplanting, Disease Management, Ecological Weed Management, Insect Management and Soil Health and Preparation.

The cost to attend:

Series of 12 workshops is $180 ($60 for apprentices) + optional book fees.

Register al-la-carte for individual workshop days at $15 each ($5 for apprentices).
