Saucon Valley Conservancy - monthly business/planning meeting at 7 pm, weather permitting, at the historic Heller Homestead, 1890 - 92 Friedensville Road (Water Street), Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, PA.
Meetings are open to the public. Interested persons are invited to attend. Volunteers are needed. Meetings are usually held, weather permitting, on the third Thursday in January through June, the second Thursday in September, and the third Thursday in October and November. No meetings are held in July and December.
2012 Meeting Schedule-Heller Homestead, 7 – 9 pm:
Jan 19, Feb 16, Mar 15, Apr 19, May 17, Jun 21, Sep 13, Oct 18, Nov 15. Other committee meetings are scheduled as needed.
Heller Homestead Art Gallery , Antiques & Collectibles Gift (Consignment) Shop, Museum:
Free and open to the public on most weekends & during special events from March 3 – December 16 [closed most holiday weekends]. Hours: Saturdays and Sundays: 1 pm to 4 pm (Sundays, 12 to 3 pm, May - November) Tours of the Heller Homestead Museum “A Journey in Time” are available by appointment. Due to an unexpected circumstance, the Art Gallery and Gift Shop may be closed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Directions:
The historic Heller Homestead is located just of the popular Saucon Rail Trial at 1890 - 1892 Friedensville Road (Water Street) in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. It is approximately one half mile west of Route 412 and Water Street in Hellertown. Turn west on Water Street, which becomes Friedensville Road in Lower Saucon Township. Go across the bridge. The Homestead is on the left adjacent to the Saucon Creek and opposite Creek Road. Parking is available on site and at the nearby Water Street Park.

The Saucon Valley Conservancy, founded January 7, 1993 is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation and is dedicated to work in partnership with government bodies, business groups and concerned citizens. Its Mission is to preserve the historic and natural environment of the Saucon Valley as an educational and recreational resource for the area citizens and visitors. The major stewardships of the Conservancy are the Michael Heller Homestead and the Saucon Creek corridor. The Heller Homestead was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. Help is always needed and volunteers are a vital part of the Conservancy’s success. The Homestead is owned by Lower Saucon Township and leased by the Saucon Valley Conservancy.

More About Heller Homestead
The Heller Homestead is a historic site which was home to the Heller family and is presently under the stewardship of the Saucon Valley Conservancy, which is headquartered there. The Saucon Valley Conservancy a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving the historical and natural environment in the area. The homestead features period-furnished rooms and houses an art gallery featuring rotating exhibits by local artists, as well as a gift shop that accepts consignments and donations. In 2010, the homestead was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
