Heller Homestead Artists' Reception & Book Signing
A “Meet the Artists’ Reception” featuring the paintings of the Plein Air Group of the Bethlehem Palette Club will be hosted by the Saucon Valley Conservancy at the Heller Homestead on Monday, March 4, 2013, 7 to 9pm [Snow date: Tuesday, March 5]. The exhibit runs Saturday, March 4 through Sunday, April 21, 2013. The event is free and open to the public. The Plein Air Group of the Bethlehem Palette Club are local artists that paint scenes of the Lehigh Valley in the open air. They gather at various town and country locations on Wednesday mornings during the Spring, Summer and Fall to paint from life.
Author and local historian Lee Weidner will be present during the reception to sign copies of his latest book “Saucon Secrets, Volume II,” which will be available for purchase. His books include "Images of America: Hellertown" and "Saucon Secrets, Volume I." A retired teacher, Weidner continues to make his home in his native Hellertown.
The Heller Homestead Art Gallery and the Antiques and Collectibles Gift (Consignment) Shop are free and open to the public on most weekends and during special events from March 2 to Dec. 15, 2013. We are closed most holiday weekends. Saturday and Sundays hours: 1 to 4pm (Sundays, 12 to 3pm, May - November). Proceeds benefit the Saucon Valley Conservancy, Inc.
