Woman Tried to Shoplift Eye Drops, Police Say
Lower Saucon Township Police say Julie Ann Corriere, 44, of East Raders Lane, Lower Saucon, attempted to shoplift eye drops from the Leithsville Road Giant Food Store Feb. 23.
A Lower Saucon Township woman will be charged via mail with retail theft, after police say she attempted to shoplift a box of Refresh Optive eye drops from the Giant Food Store at 1880 Leithsville Road Feb. 23.
Police said in a news release that Julie Ann Corriere, 44, of the 1500 block of East Raders Lane, was found to be in possession of the eye drops after an officer was dispatched to the supermarket for a report of a "possible shoplifter."
At that time, police said it was also discovered that Corriere had allegedly attempted to purchase items such as Tide detergent and Olay Regenerist skin cream at a cheaper price by applying "special sale" barcode stickers she had removed from sale items.
"This deception was discovered by officers," police said.
