Woman's German Shepherd Went After Neighbor, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say Ursula Merriman, of the 3900 block of Lower Saucon Road, was cited for a dog law violation after her German Shepherd allegedly ran toward a neighbor in an aggressive manner.

A Lower Saucon Township woman was cited for a dog law violation Nov. 26, after police say her German Shepherd dog left her property and ran toward a neighbor in an aggressive manner.

In a press release issued Saturday, police said the dog owned by Ursula Merriman, of the 3900 block of Lower Saucon Road, ran toward Michael Estojack, who was outside on his property at about 1:20pm.

The dog "started barking aggressively and appeared as if (it) was going to bite him," police said.

Estojack got into his truck and stayed there until the dog ran back to Merriman, they added.

Merriman was cited for "confinement of animals" because this was not the first incident involving her dog, police said.
