Volunteers Needed to Help Search for 'Ruby' Saturday

An aerial search for "Ruby the Lost Greyhound" is planned for Saturday. Ruby went missing more than two months ago. Volunteers are being asked to meet at Hellertown's Water Street Park to assist with the search.

The aerial search for "Ruby the Lost Greyhound" that's twice been postponed is now rescheduled for Saturday morning, and it looks like the weather will finally cooperate.

The forecast for Saturday calls for partly cloudy skies above Hellertown, with high temperatures in the low 40s expected.

Ruby, a 10-year-old white greyhound from Allentown, has been missing for more than two months.

The most recent sightings of her have been in the Saucon Valley area, which is why the aerial quadrant search by volunteers from the Brave Tide Foundation is planned for that area.

Volunteers are needed to help with the search on the ground.

Anyone who's interested in participating is asked to meet at Hellertown's Water Street Park at 9:30am.

A printable map of the search area--which is attached to this article--should be brought along.
