Since the shooting of 20 Sandy Hook Elementary School students in Newtown, Conn., last month, conspiracy theories have emerged via social media claiming the entire incident was a hoax to further to the aims of the gun control lobby.

I wonder, after seeing this question, if Patch, should it be in print, world be displayed at the supermarket checkout, next to the rag with the headline "Girl swallows own foot - changes name to Eileen"
I'd like to see a fourth choice for answers: "Patch should not waste space asking ridiculous questions"

Well said Allan. I totally agree. What would make anyone even consider something as idiotic as this thread. Typical media, id there is nothing happening, let's make something up. We need a paycheck too, Ha !!!

Wow, stumbled on this. Pretty yellow journalism. Is this how you drive a community conversation? I live in Sandy Hook, and I'm either a paid crisis actor or a very sad person who has friends and neighbors with empty beds. I'm pretty offended.
