SVSD: Recent Snow Day to Be Made Up June 12

The Saucon Valley School District announced Thursday that its Jan. 28 snow day will be made up by students on June 12.

The snow day that occurred on Monday, Jan. 28, will be made up on June 12, the Saucon Valley School District announced in a news alert Thursday.

The addition of the makeup day means one day will be added to the end of the school year.

In the event of another snow day, another day will be added to the end of the year, meaning the last day for students will become June 13, the district also said.

It added that in the event of a third snow day, the makeup day will be the Thursday before Easter.

Easter Sunday this year is March 31.

Students missed a week of instruction in late October and early November because of the widespread power outage caused by the remnants of Superstorm Sandy.

Stupid. They should be making this day up on 4/1, the Monday after Easter. Why make our kids go later into summer when they can take care of it before that?
