And, this property has very low taxes! It's assessment is only $205,500 which means that Northampton County believes its fair market value is only $411,000 or less than half the asking price!

Prices in Saddle Ridge are inflated because of it's close proximity to Upper Bucks County. You tell people Bucks County and they immediately think money. There are house in LST that are larger, built by the same builder, just not in that location that will sell for a lot less due to location.

Also the article is misleading. With that zip code it is Hellertown, not Saucon Valley.

It's not meant to be misleading. When describing a location, I have to make a distinction between a home that's in Hellertown borough and a home that is outside the borough but has a Hellertown mailing address. This house is in the 18055 zip code but it is in Lower Saucon Township, which means it has a Hellertown mailing address--as opposed to homes in Lower Saucon that are in the 18015 zip code, which have a Bethlehem mailing address. The thing that all of the LST properties have in common is that they're all in the Saucon Valley School District. So this home is rightfully both: Hellertown (mailing address) and Saucon Valley (school district).

Josh is right. It is not the zip code that determines the location, it is the township the property is located in and which the real estate taxes are paid to. The zip code only determines which post office delivers your mail. Lower Saucon Township doesn't have a post office, so there is no such mailing address (or zip code) with the city/town "Lower Saucon Township". When people ask me where I live, I don't say Hellertown, I say Lower Saucon Township. But, if they ask for my mailing address, I have no choice but to say Hellertown.

People who pay taxes to Southern Lehigh don't say they live there. They say they live in Center Valley or Coopersburg or whereever else the school draws from.
