Police: Heroin Found During Easton Road Vehicle Stop

Hellertown Police say the drug was discovered during a vehicle stop made in the 800 block of Easton Road in August 2012.

In a press release issued last week, Hellertown Police said they have charged a Lower Saucon Township man with possession of heroin as a result of an incident that allegedly occurred last summer.

Police said Ryan Joseph Young, 18, of the 2000 block of Glen View Drive, was stopped in the 800 block of Easton Road, Hellertown, for a vehicle equipment violation at 1am on Aug. 12, 2012.

At that time, "officers spotted in plain view a packet of heroin in the vehicle's ashtray," police said.

Police said Young was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, and added that his case is pending court action.
