Hellertown police are seeking information about a man they say passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a borough bar May 2.

According to police, the man who passed the note is a clean-shaven black male in his late 20s with an athletic build. The man is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds, police said.

Police said the man "posed as a physician" when he entered Beer Mussels Bar & Grille at 1214 Main St. between 9 and 10pm.

The man purchased a six-pack of beer and a shot with the fake currency before leaving, police said.
