Gloria L. Carnes, 86, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was born in Bethlehem on Dec. 25, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Samuel J. and Florence (Cope) Lawrence. She worked as a secretary in the financial department at the former Bethlehem Steel for 23 years, retiring in 1979. Gloria was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Hellertown.

Survivors:

Sons: Samuel J. of Bethlehem, Randolph Jr. at home; sisters: Constance Walker in Virginia, Dolores Summers of Hellertown; one granddaughter; and four grandsons. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harry A. and Norman A.

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10am Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at the church, 735 Delaware Ave., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10am.
