Middle School Girls Drop Game to Salisbury

The Panther girls struggled with penetration against a tall Salisbury team.

Saucon Valley Middle School hosted the Salisbury Falcons Monday, which marked the second time this season the two middle school girls basketball teams have met.

The first meeting of the two teams resulted in a 53-16 loss for the Panther girls. And while this match-up did not vindicate the Panthers, the Saucon girls showed a renewed vigor in the second half, going to a perimeter game that proved more effective against the tall Salisbury backcourt. The game ended in a 48-22 win for the Falcon girls.

Salisbury's Csondor was the game's high scorer, with 13 points, while Eripret added 11 points. Saucon's Balik was the high scorer for Saucon, with 7 points. Panther Drayton also added a three-pointer to the Saucon Valley tally.

The Panther girls travel to Wilson Thursday and will take on neighboring Southern Lehigh at home on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 4pm.
