Man Beaten on Whitaker Street, Police Say

Hellertown Police say a man suffered face and head injuries after he was allegedly assaulted by two other men

Two men were arrested after Hellertown Police say they assaulted another man on Whitaker Street that afternoon.

In a news release, police said they responded to the reported assault in the area of H. Blinderman and Son, and subsequently spoke to the victim inside the business.

Police said the man had suffered head and facial injuries on Feb. 12, and "stated that he was assaulted by two males by the names of Justin Rey Ramirez and Eric Robert Sarko."

Sarko, 20, was subsequently located at his residence in the 1500 block of Clauser Street, Hellertown, and was arrested, police said.

Both Sarko and Ramirez, 20, of the 1000 block of Nicholas Street, Bethlehem, have been charged with criminal conspiracy, simple assault and harassment, according to authorities.

The victim's name wasn't included in the press release and the way it was written, it sounded more like it just happened near the business. In other words, there was no indication that anyone from Blinderman's was directly involved in what happened.
