Man Accused of Slicing Tires in Steel City

Lower Saucon Township Police say Scott Hubinsky, of Edgewood Avenue, Steel City, slashed the tires on two vehicles when he was refused money for beer and food Nov. 15.

A Lower Saucon Township man was arrested Nov. 15 after police say he slashed all four tires on two vehicles in Steel City.

Police said in a press release that Scott Hubinsky, of the 2300 block of Edgewood Avenue, Steel City, slashed the tires after he knocked on a resident's door to ask for money for food and beer.

When the resident refused to give him money, police said Hubinsky slashed the tires on the resident's vehicles.

The night before this incident allegedly took place, police said Hubinsky was drinking and shooting off fireworks in the woods near the Steel City Fire Company.

The following morning, about an hour before he allegedly slashed the tires, police say Hubinsky fought with another man at a Riverside Drive apartment in Steel City.

In addition to charges of criminal mischief, loitering and prowling, and public drunkenness related to the alleged tire-slashing, Hubinsky faces charges in both of those separate incidents.
