Township Resident Charged With DUI
On Oct. 10 at 5:54pm police say they stopped Dana Bauman, 41, of the 1000 block of Easton Road, Lower Saucon Township, after an officer observed an apparent problem with Bauman's vehicle. Police said when the officer approached Bauman, "it was learned that Dana was under the influence of a drug." Bauman was taken to the Bethlehem DUI Center for processing, and was later charged with DUI, police said in a press release.
Woman Arrested for DUI on Leithsville Road
On Nov. 3 at 10:01pm police say they stopped Jacqueline Jacob, of the 1000 block of Sixth Street, Whitehall, for making a prohibited left turn from Meadows Road onto Leithsville Road (Route 412). Police said in a press release that Jacob was stopped at Leithsville and Polk Valley roads. At that time, police say, Jacob was "found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage." She has been charged with DUI, they added.
Police Investigating Hit-and-Run Accident in High School Parking Lot
On Nov. 13 sometime between 8am and 2pm police say a vehicle owned by Diane French, of the 1600 block of Rambling Rose Court, Lower Saucon Township, was struck while it was parked in the Saucon Valley High School parking lot. Police said in a press release that the vehicle suffered "minor damage to the driver's side rear bumper." Police are asking anyone who might have witnessed the accident to contact them at 610-317-6110.
Men Charged Following Mountain Drive North Traffic Stop
On Nov. 14 at 12:25am police say they stopped Corey Phillips, of the 2100 block of North Line Street, Lansdale, for traffic violations on Mountain Drive North. Police said in a press release that Phillips was operating a blue Saturn when he was stopped at Mountain Drive North and Hayes Street. During an investigation, police say they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and the odor of marijuana emitting from Phillips' vehicle. "Corey Phillips did admit to having contraband within the vehicle and was arrested for (possession)," police said. A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested and charged with a violation of the open container law. Police identified that passenger as Anthony White Jr., of the first block of Ferndale Lane, Lansdale.
Police: Men Were Drunk, Shooting Off Fireworks Behind Fire Company
On Nov. 14 at 9:59pm police say they responded to a report of shots fired near the Steel City Fire Company. Police said in a press release that officers arrived and were checking the area when they heard loud voices and "pop" noises. They subsequently found three men in the nearby woods, who they say were intoxicated and shooting off fireworks around a small campfire. Police identified the men as: Scott Hubinsky, of the 2337 block of Edgewood Avenue, Lower Saucon Township; Kyle Cambiotti, of the 2100 block of Riverside Drive, Lower Saucon Township; and Dylan Pritchard, of the 2100 block of Riverside Drive, Lower Saucon Township. No weapons were found, police said, but the men were charged with both disorderly conduct and public drunkenness before being released.
Men Fought at Steel City Apartment, Police Say
On Nov. 15 at 7:04am police say officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress at an apartment at 2168 Riverside Drive. In a press release police said that Dylan Pritchard, of 2168 Riverside Drive, and Scott Hubinsky, of 2337 Edgewood Ave., both in Lower Saucon Township, "were found to be intoxicated and had been engaged in fighting/tumultuous behavior at the residence, causing a disturbance to other tenants." Both men were cited for harassment, and Hubinsky was cited for public drunkenness "when he was initially found outside of the home trying to leave on a bicycle," police said.
Bethlehem Man Allegedly Texted 'Rude Comments,' Called Repeatedly
On Nov. 15 at 9:44pm police say Eric McDonald, of the 700 block of Pawnee Street, Bethlehem, harassed a resident of the 3200 block of Bingen Road, Lower Saucon Township, by "texting rude comments and calling repeatedly." Police said in a press release that the victim wanted McDonald cited for harassment, and that he subsequently was cited with a summary offense for harassment.
Man Charged With Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana
On Nov. 18 at 1:07am police say Alexander Tomas Rubino, 18, of the 800 block of Broadhead Court, Easton, was stopped for speeding on Applebutter Road. Police said in a press release that an officer subsequently observed marijuana "in plain view on the front of Rubino's shirt" as they were waiting for him to provide information. Rubino was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
