Columbia Man Charged With DUI
On May 28 at 1:48am police say Justin Fuhrman, of the 3700 block of Horrow Road, Columbia, Pa., was arrested for DUI after being stopped on Route 378 south for traffic offenses. Police said in a press release that Fuhrman, who was under 21 at the time of his arrest, was determined to have a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .21 percent. Fuhrman has been charged with DUI and other related alcohol offenses, police said.
Upper Milford Woman Charged With DUI
On June 1 at 1:44am police say Katrina Lee Miller, of the 4600 block of Rose Drive, Upper Milford Township, was "observed traveling south (on Route) 378 and (was) observed traveling over the yellow center line and over the white fog line" in the area of Black River Road. Police said in a press release that Miller was stopped near Walter Street, and that "upon stopping Miller an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected." Police said Miller failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. Her blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .11 percent, they added. Miller has been charged with DUI, police said.
Police Announce June 3 DUI Arrests
Early on the morning of June 3 police say they made two separate DUI arrests. At approximately 12:02am, police say they stopped Ashley Salvatore, of the 4000 block of Old Bethlehem Pike, Upper Saucon Township, for speeding on Rt. 378. "Upon approaching (Salvatore), the smell of an alcoholic beverage was detected," police said in a press release. Further testing determined that she was driving under the influence of alcohol, they added. At approximately 3:54am, police say they stopped Mark T. Ritchey, of the 1300 block of East Sixth Street, Bethlehem, for not stopping at a stop sign at Black River and Bingen Roads. Police said in a press release that the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected when they approached Ritchey. "Further testing determined that Ritchey was driving under the influence," they added. Both Ritchey and Salvatore will be charged with DUI, police said.
Four-Wheelers Stolen from Leithsville Road Residence, Police Say
On June 9 police say they received a report of two stolen Honda 400 EX four-wheelers. Police said in a press release that the four-wheelers were stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Leithsville Road, and that they were taken sometime during the week prior to the report being made. Anyone who may have observed the vehicles being removed is asked to contact Lower Saucon Township Police at 610-317-6110.
Teen Charged With DUI as a Minor Following Route 412 Traffic Stop
On June 9 at 1:58am police say Angel Caro Jr., of the 100 block of Sutton Place, Palmer Township, was stopped on Route 412 after police determined that his vehicle's registration was expired by two months. "When police approached the vehicle, they found Caro to be under the influence of alcohol," authorities said in a press release. Caro, who was 19 at the time of the stop, has been charged with DUI as a minor and underage drinking, police said.
Man Charged With DUI Following Black River Road Traffic Stop
On June 14 at 2:55am police say Pablo Ferraro, of the 2000 block of Quarter Mile Road, Lower Saucon Township, was stopped on Black River Road for traffic offenses. Police said in a press release that Ferraro was determined to be driving under the influence, and that his blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .19 percent. Ferraro has been charged with DUI, police added.
Woman Charged With Stop Sign Violation Following Accident
On June 14 at 7:46am police say they responded to an accident at Apples Church and Leithsville roads. According to a police department press release, the accident occurred when Stavroula Favinger, of the 1100 block of Fullerton Avenue, Allentown, attempted to make a left-hand turn from Apples Church onto Leithsville. "(Favinger) was looking (in) the opposite direction when she was pulling out," police said. As Favinger pulled out, she struck a vehicle operated by Kenneth Haas, of the 2300 block of Covington Avenue, Bethlehem, they added. Favinger was charged with a stop sign violation, police said.
