Men Arrested on Marijuana Charges Following Applebutter Road Vehicle Stop
On Dec. 15 at 10:37pm police say they stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Applebutter Road. In a press release police said two occupants of the vehicle were subsequently found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police identified the men as Joel Flammer, 18, of the 900 block of East Tilghman Street, Allentown, and Anthony Ortiz, 18, of the 900 block of Radclyffe Street, Bethlehem. Police said that in addition to being charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana Flammer is charged with possession of paraphernalia.
Police Investigating Mailbox Damage on Leithsville Road
On Dec. 27 at 7:40pm police say two mailboxes in the 2000 block of Leithsville Road were damaged with a blunt object. "Both mailboxes were valued at $50 to replace," police said in a press release. Anyone with information regarding the perpetrator or perpetrators responsible for the damage is asked to call the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-317-6110.
Man Cited Following Route 378 Accident, Police Say
On Jan. 1 at 12:42pm police say they responded to an accident on Route 378 near the Saucon Square shopping center. Police said in a press release that the accident occurred when Jonathan Miller, of the 100 block of Front Street, Quakertown, attempted to change lanes and struck a vehicle operated by James Miller, of the 500 block of Seneca Street, Bethlehem. Police said both motorists were northbound at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported, and Jonathan Miller was cited under the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code's section on Duty of Vehicles Overtaking on Left, according to authorities.
