Juvenile Arrested for Allegedly Possessing Drug Paraphernalia in South Mountain Park
On Jan. 13 at 11:34pm police say they were checking on an occupied vehicle in the South Mountain Park parking lot when they found a 17-year-old male juvenile from Allentown to be in possession of a marijuana smoking pipe. Charges of trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia have been filed against him in Northampton County Juvenile Court, police said.
Man Arrested for DUI on Black River Road
On Jan. 15 at 2:24am police say they stopped Michael R. Connors, 19, of the first block of Beaver Run Road, Quakertown, for allegedly swerving while driving on Black River Road near the I-78 overpass. Police say the odor of an alcoholic beverage was subsequently detected, and that Connors was given field sobriety tests. Connors will be charged with DUI, underage drinking and other offenses, police said.
Motorist Plus Five Passengers Face Charges, Police Say
On Jan. 21 at 1:20am police say they stopped Elissa Nonnemaker, of the 400 block of East Locust Street, Bethlehem, on Route 378 for alleged vehicle equipment and safety violations. Police said that when officers approached the vehicle they "could detect a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and marijuana," and Nonnemaker was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, as well as the purchase, consumption and transportation of alcohol by someone under 21 years of age. Police added that five passengers in the vehicle, all of whom were over 18, were charged with underage drinking. Police identified those five individuals as Jacob Bernier, Emily Brown, Jennifer Photiades, Madeline Svrcek and Victoria Young.
