Man Was DUI Behind Dartford Road Home, Police Say
On Dec. 7 at 2:11am police say Michael John Gursky, of the 1900 block of Dartford Road, Lower Saucon Township, was found in the rear yard of a neighbor's home "near the tree line with the headlights on and his car running." In a press release police said an officer detected the odor of alcohol when speaking to Gursky, and that he was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he was administered field sobriety tests. "A small amount of marijuana and a smoking pipe were also discovered in the vehicle," authorities added. Gursky has been charged with DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Woman Cited After Dogs Allegedly Found Running Loose
On Dec. 14 at 3:19pm police say officers were called to the 1800 block of Bucknell Drive for a report of two dogs running loose. In a press release police said Elizabeth O'Rourke, of the 1500 block of Merryweather Drive, was cited for failing to keep her dogs confined, which is a violation of Pennsylvania's Dog Law.
Woman to Be Cited for Route 378 Accident, Police Say
On Dec. 14 at 6:23pm police say Geri Rittan, of the first block of West Garrison Street, Bethlehem, was traveling too fast to stop for a vehicle in front of her on Route 378 South near Clauser Drive. Police said in a press release that Rittan struck the vehicle, which was operated by Charlotte Sinift, of the 1400 block of Stafore Drive, Hanover Township, Northampton County. Rittan, who was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, will be cited for "Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed," police said. At the time the accident occurred, officers were at the scene and blocking traffic because of a separate incident that had occurred on Route 378 North, authorities added.
