Police: Man Arrested for DUI Pulled into Different Driveways, Turned Off Headlights
On Dec. 2 at about 11:12pm police say Thomas Roland Kerr II, of the 3700 block of Oakhurst Drive, Upper Saucon Township, was observed "pulling into two different driveways and turning off his (car's) headlights." Police subsequently stopped Kerr in the 1400 block of Colesville Road and say he was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. After Kerr was arrested for DUI, a blood alcohol test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of .14 percent, they added.
Police Investigating "Keying" of Chevy Monte Carlo
On Dec. 4 police say they received a report of criminal mischief in the 2500 block of Applebutter Road. According to police, Roger Mercado, of Bethlehem, reported to them that sometime between Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 someone keyed his Chevy Monte Carlo. There are no known witnesses to the incident, police said.
Man Cited for Allegedly Dumping Yard Waste on Private Property
On Dec. 10 at 9:20am police say they were dispatched to a littering complaint in the 2100 block of Springtown Hill Road. According to police, Leon R. Walesyn Jr., of the 2000 block of Rumson Court, Lower Saucon Township, was identified after a property owner recorded the license plate of his vehicle. Walesyn "stated he dumped tree branches and tree roots on private property because the (compost) center was closed," police said in a press release. Walesyn was cited for scattering rubbish, they added.
Woman Arrested on Drug Charge
On Dec. 12 at 12:56pm police say they stopped Kenlyn Counterman, 20, of the 500 block of Cherry Street, Coopersburg, for an alleged traffic violation on Bingen Road. Police say they subsequently found marijuana in Counterman's possession. Counterman will receive a summons for a Title 35 violation, police said.
