Man Arrested for DUI on Easton Road
On Nov. 11 at 1:19am police say Brent Hosterman, of the 400 block of Main Street, Harleysville, was observed traveling at 67.8mph in a posted 45mph zone in the 2700 block of Easton Road. In a press release police said an officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed signs of impairment in Hosterman, who allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. Police said Hosterman's blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .10 percent.
Woman Ran Red Light, Causing Accident, Police Say
On Dec. 4 at 11:09am police say they responded to a motor vehicle accident at Route 378 and Seidersville Road. In a press release, police said the accident occurred when Barbara Bakley, of the first block of Grandview Avenue, Phillipsburg, N.J., "failed to stop at a red steady traffic control signal." Police said Bakley was driving a Ford Explorer when she struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, and Bakley was charged with "traffic control signals," they added.
Police: Motorist Slid Through Stop Sign at Bingen, Saucon Valley Roads
On Dec. 2 at 11:18pm police say they responded to a one-vehicle accident at Bingen and Saucon Valley roads. In a press release, police said Xin Lin, of the 200 block of Mott Street, New York, N.Y., "was traveling too fast for the wet conditions" and slid through the stop sign at that intersection. When officers arrived at the scene, police say they found Lin's vehicle "150 (degrees) off the roadway."
