New Alert System Launches in Lower Saucon
Residents can register to receive emergency and public safety alerts via the township's website.
According to the announcement, the service "allows township public safety officials to send important, valuable community information directly to residents using the latest technology."
The service allows the township to publish messages from the police, emergency management and public works departments.
Examples of messages that will be sent out via the new system include:
- Advisories on road closures
- Snow emergency announcements
- Information about flooding or power outages
- Public safety alerts
According to the announcement, "the service is secure, reliable and easy to use."
