To the editor:
Hellertown dog owners, stop, look and listen to your conscience if you abuse the Rail-Trail by not ridding the area of your canine's feces. Stop and look at the dog waste sign at Water Street Park. Read item #4 on the Saucon Rail Trail welcome sign. These rules are clear. You will be identified and fined. People are watching you.
The new signs at Hellertown Marsh are for the good of all. They do not need poop lying next to them. Look at these photos. Listen to a tall old guy call you stupid for not cleaning up after your doggie.
Remember that "ignorance is teachable; stupidity is terminal."

I do not think it is all the pets on the trail, I have seen people who live by the trail just let their pets wonder lose. I walk the trail almost everyday. I do see a lot of people clean up after their pets. Kudos to all of them.

If the mess is always in the same area, chances are it a someone who lives by the trail and send it dog out to do it's business there. If the person is too lazy to clean up after his animal, he is probably too lazy to walk him. My money is on someone who lives next to the trail. Hope you catch the person or the dog.

I wish you people would be as passionate about ridding the country of the illegal immigrant scum (as seen in the lead story) as you are about dog crap on the trail. The dog crap does not creep down here from Allentown and Bethlehem, break into your houses, and cause accidents while driving drunk.
