Boy Found With Heroin, Police Say

Hellertown police say a recent Main Street traffic stop led to discovery of drugs in a juvenile's possession.

A boy was arrested and referred to Northampton County Juvenile Probation Feb. 15, after police say he was found in possession of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, following a 9:37 p.m. traffic stop in the 700 block of Main Street.

Police said the juvenile faces charges of possession of controlled substances (heroin), possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police did not release any other information about the boy or what prompted them to make the vehicle stop in their March 5 news release about the incident.
