Montgomery County Man Arrested for DUI

On Jan. 14 at 2:44am police say they stopped Heath Lee Fair, 22, of the 200 block of Hoffmansville Road, Sassamansville, Montgomery County, for a minor equipment violation in the 600 block of Harris Street. Police say Fair was subsequently determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Fair was arrested for DUI and taken to the Bethlehem DUI Center, where he was processed. Fair was later determined to have had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .13 percent at the time, police said. The legal BAC limit for most Pennsylvania motorists is .08 percent. Fair has been charged with DUI, according to police.

Borough Woman Arrested for DUI at Durham and Cherry Streets

On Jan. 29 at 2:08am police say they stopped Heather L. Tweed, 26, of the 200 block of Durham Street, Hellertown, at Durham and Cherry streets for alleged summary traffic violations. Police said Tweed was arrested for DUI after an investigation. Her blood alcohol content (BAC) was determined to be .13 percent, they added. The legal limit for BAC in Pennsylvania for most drivers is .08 percent.

Woman Arrested on Drug Paraphernalia Charge

On Feb. 6 at 6:59pm police say Erin Marie Santiago, 23, of the 2000 block of Leithsville Road, Lower Saucon Township, was stopped in the 1000 block of Front Street for a motor vehicle code equipment violation. "Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer smelled a strong odor consistent with freshly smoked marijuana," police said in a press release. Police said that Santiago then "advised the officer that she had a pipe in her vehicle." After that, "the pipe was located and (Santiago) was arrested," authorities added. Police said Santiago has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
