Hellertown Pharmacy Announces Grand Opening
Mayor Richard Fluck will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new business this week.
Reminiscent of former borough drugstores such as Prosser’s, and current borough pharmacy Yeager's, the new Hellertown Pharmacy promises customers a “personal touch” in comparison with larger chain pharmacies located throughout the area.
Lena Lasher, a Doctor of Pharmacy with a degree from the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virgina, opened this establishment in the Shoppes at Hellertown Nov. 29.
In addition to providing quality pharmaceuticals, Lasher said she is able to give customers expert advice as needed.
Lasher said chose to open her business in Hellertown because of “the people and the community.”
She says “superior service” that is “second to none” will help set her business apart, and establish it as a valuable part of the local community.
According to Lasher, many prescriptions can be filled by the Hellertown Pharmacy in five minutes or less--a convenience appreciated by busy customers on the go.
Lasher said she is also considering offering prescription delivery in the near future; a service which would likely be of value to many of the senior citizens who reside in the borough.
She added that, in addition to prescriptions, the Hellertown Pharmacy features a “full front-end store, including over-the-counter medications, candies, gifts, cards, brand-name makeup and more."
The public is invited to join Hellertown Mayor Richard Fluck as he cuts a ribbon to mark the official grand opening of the pharmacy on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 10am.
The Hellertown Pharmacy will offer drawings, gifts and refreshments the day of the ribbon-cutting, as well as a free gift valued at $50 just for stopping in. In addition, Lasher said she will be giving away $5 coupons off any purchase with each customer’s first prescription purchase. There is one-coupon-per-customer limit and some restrictions will apply.
The Hellertown Pharmacy’s grand opening celebration will last all month long.
The business is located at 11 Main St., in the Shoppes at Hellertown shopping center.
