A Lower Saucon Township man will be cited for careless driving, following a Dec. 26 accident in which a pedestrian was struck in the Giant Food Store parking lot at 1880 Leithsville Road, township police announced Wednesday.

According to a police department press release, Charles Martin Meixsell, 42, of the 1600 block of Weavers Lane, was the operator of a vehicle that struck Triss Robinson, 64, of Ringing Rocks Road, Upper Black Eddy.

When police arrived at the scene of the incident at 7:32pm, they said Robinson "was observed on the ground lying on her back."

Dewey Ambulance responded to the accident scene and transported Robinson to St. Luke's Hospital for further evaluation, police said.
