Antique 'Pop Gun' Reported Stolen
Lower Saucon Township Police say the unusual item was reported stolen from a Dairy Lane garage Dec. 7.
Township police say they are investigating the theft of an antique "pop gun" from a garage in the 2500 block of Dairy Lane.
In a press release, police said the theft was reported by homeowner Thomas Maxfield early on the morning of Dec. 7.
According to police, Maxfield reported that the garage had been entered sometime between 10pm and 6am, which was when the gun--which is valued at $25--was removed.
"The pop gun does not fire projectiles, but uses a pump to make a 'pop' noise," police explained.
"It is described as a fairly heavy piece with a steel barrel that has light rust and a wooden stock," they added.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-317-6110.
